Feminine Light Pink Glitter Nails with Revlon 'Sparkling'

Today I decided to do something a bit more subtle so I've done some light pink glittery nails which I think look really quite cute.

Revlon Sparkling
I started with 2 coats of Rimmel's French Manicure colour in 'Rose Praline'. The colour itself is really nice - a light pink colour with a nice shimmer to it. I can't say I'm massively impressed with the application however. It was definitely not opaque after 2 coats and it was quite streaky. I managed to get away with 2 layers because I was putting on a couple of coats of glitter. Maybe it would be ok for a French manicure? I'll have to try it.

I then dabbed on (much better way to put on glitter rather than normal brushing which will drag it down to the end of the nail) 2 coats of Revlon's 'Sparkling' (261). This is a lovely polish. You'd need a lot of coats to provide full coverage (in fact, it's probably not really possible) but it looks great on. In fact, I've found a great blog post showing the coverage after 1, 2, 3 and 4 coats - you can take a look at Imagination in Colour here.

I finished the look off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Pink and Black Lace Flower French Tips

Hi everyone, today I've done some really pretty pink and black lace flowery nails. They are kind of like a slanted french tip effect on the nail.

Pink Nails with Black Lace Tips

I started off with a couple of coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in 'Terracotta' I love this polish - it's so nice and easy to apply! I then used some nail stickers I bought from Ebay. I actually bought these ages ago so the link I've included is for some different but similar ones. I could manage to find the exact same ones unfortunately.

I finished the look off with a couple of coats of my trusty Seche Vite, which you can buy here. Still my absolute favourite, favourite top coat (some things don't change!)

I'm really impressed with the effect overall. I think they look really elegant and striking! I'm definitely going to be buying some similar stickers to try this again!

Pink Stripy Nails - Favourite Colour - Lazy 15

Ok, so I've been a very lazy challenger the last few days! I've missed Wednesday and Thursdays challenges so I've decided to post them both tonight, with the intention of carrying on as normal the next couple of days! It's really sinking in how hard it is to keep up with a challenge, when you have a lot going on. I've been particularly busy with work, and a few too many evenings out. I have a huge amount of respect for those who manage 30/31 days now!

So, here is day #6 - favourite colour. My favourite colour is pink, as anyone who knows me knows well! For my birthday this year the lovely people in my team at work actually threw me a pink party (I'll put you a picture in at the bottom of this post!)

Pinky Stripy Nails

The base colour is MUA 'Bright Plum' and I used a striping brush to add some stripes of Technic 'Magenta'. I then added some 'Glequins' from Born Pretty Store along the stripes. As always, this was topped off with Seche Vite.

Pink Stripes and Sequin Nails

Overall I'm happy with the effect - and it looked really good on camera which is a change!

Coming right up... Feminine nails but not before a picture of my pink party from earlier this year!

Vaseline 'Pink Bubbly' Inspired Pink and Black Manicure

A few weeks ago I picked up a tin of the limited edition 'Pink Bubbly' Vaseline and ever since I've been planning on doing a manicure to match - I love the classy combination of pink black and gold. Here is the result:

I'm really happy with the result! It was pretty easy to do and very cute... I used Revlon's 'Lilac Pastelle' as the base coat (it is slightly more lilac than pink, as the name suggests, but very close), then I used Xtras Shade 78 (black) for the tips. I then went over the bottom of the tips with my trusty striping tape...

Definitely one of my faves so far...

Deep Pink Criss Cross Nail Stamping

I really like this mani – I think the results are effective but quite discreet. The colour looks a bit red when it’s on – but it’s a deep pink colour in the bottle.

Pink Criss Cross Manicure

I’ve had this polish for a while, so the name has rubbed off the label but I think it’s called ‘Foxglove’. The stamping plate used is BM-310 and the polish I used for stamping is Mua ‘Black’.

I topped it off with a couple of coats of Seche Vite

Matte Purple and Pink Gem Nails

Good morning! Today I'm wearing a purple matte manicure, embedded with pink square jewels.
I love this colour and it’s already the second time it’s appeared on my blog – it’s Revlon ‘Violet’, topped with Rimmel Pro Matte Finish top coat. I'm really loving matte nails at the moment!

I’m really not 100% where I got the stones from. I think they were a free gift when I bought some nail foils but other than the fact that they were a freebee, I really am not sure! I think they are really pretty, the only problem is that they are all slightly different sizes, which you can tell when you look closely. I put a little too much top coat on the ring finger as well, so it looks a bit excessive where they have sunk in…

Glittery Pink and Mint Nail Art

I love the combination of mint green and a pretty baby pink so I decided to try putting them together to create something a bit spangle-y!

The green colour used is Barry M’s ‘Mint Green’. The sequins are from Born Pretty Store which is great source for nail-related products (and pretty cheap!) I actually got 12 different sequin colours for a few pounds….
I don’t think the pictures do it justice – there’s too much glare from the sequins, but at least it shows how shiny it is!

Pink and Black Zebra Print Nail Art

Today I’ve done a very bright mani – pink zebra print and black…

Pink Zebra Print Manicure

I'm really impressed with the results, but I couldn't really get a picture which does it justice (I’m still very much practising with different settings etc).

The pink used is Rimmel's ‘Funtime Fuchsia’ and The plate is BM-223. I used Mua ‘Black’ for the stamping and the black sides. To achieve the look, I used the pink and stamping first then I applied some top coat to make sure that I didn’t pull the stamping off when I used sellotape to tape off the black section.
The black stones were from Ebay and I finished off with a couple of coats of Seche Vite.
